Prodigal Son’s Reentry Services is now officially a Michigan nonprofit corporation focused on restoring lives, rebuilding futures, and strengthening communities.
We’re in the early stages of building everything we need to offer real, meaningful reentry support—things like mentorship, job readiness, recovery guidance, and community connections for people working hard to turn their lives around.
At the heart of it all is dignity, accountability, opportunity, and the belief that if someone is serious about change, they deserve a real chance to prove it.
A big part of what we’re doing is connecting with the community. We’re looking to build strong partnerships with employers, churches, recovery programs, nonprofits, and anyone else who believes in second chances.
We’re actively reaching out to organizations that share our vision of building safer communities through support, accountability, and opportunity.
Together, we can break down barriers and open doors for successful reentry.
We’re currently putting together programs to support people as they transition back into the community.
Some of the services we’re working toward include:
• Reentry guidance and support
• Peer mentoring
• Recovery support connections
• Job readiness help
• Housing resource referrals
• Life skills development
• Community resource connections
The goal is simple—we want to walk alongside people as they rebuild and move forward in a real, lasting way.
As we grow, we’re also building a strong board of directors and leadership team that’s committed to serving the community with honesty and integrity.
This team will help guide our direction, keep us accountable, and make sure we stay focused on real, positive outcomes.
We’re continuing the process of building a solid nonprofit foundation, including working toward federal tax-exempt status through the IRS.
Getting to this next step will help us expand our reach, grow our programs, and build stronger partnerships with organizations that believe in our mission.
There are a lot of ways to get involved and support what we’re doing at Prodigal Son’s Reentry Services:
• Become a community partner
• Support our mission through donations
• Help create job opportunities
• Volunteer your time or skills
• Share our mission with others
Every connection makes a difference and helps us create more opportunities for people committed to changing their lives.
